chaplinの名曲 "smile"は、私が弾き語りを始めた最初の頃から歌っている大好きな曲です。
映画 「Modern Times」のラストシーンで流れるこの曲は、歌詞は後から別の人が書いたそうなんですが、
人を楽しませる事に人生をかけたChaplinの曲らしい、素敵な歌詞です。
ご本人も、その歌詞を気に入っていたようです。自分メモ用に訳してみました。
